ATM or Credit Card?

I have a ATM/debit card from my bank that has a master card logo on it. I called my credit cards and all of them charge an additonal 3% conversion rate. I also called my bank to see if they can tell me what additional charges that there might be using there card, but no axact answere was given.

1) Am I better off when I can to just charge everything?

2) Am I better off using my ATM/debit card for everything and will most places accept it?

3) Am I better off to just keep getting euros at an ATM and pay cash for everything?

THanks, finally after months of planning and help from thins board we are leaving for Paris in a week.

In your case, credit card charging might still be the best deal unless you get loads of cash from an ATM. I%26#39;m surprised that your bank has no idea what your extra charges will be seen on the ATM card.

Next time, get credit cards and ATM cards from a credit union. They seem to have the lowest rates. Some other sources might match those lowest rates, but they are few and far between.
