I was just informed by the rental agency that the apartment that I rented for a week next month has been sold by the owner. My deposit will be returned to me. I now need to find another apartment quickly. Any advice?

How reliable is renting an apartment on Craig%26#39;s List? I would think that if somebody is going to take a deposit all the while thinking they might sell it (not surprising in france) then Craig%26#39;s List would be the place to find them.

I love craigslist but I%26#39;d never buy/rent through them unless it was a person-to-person, cash transaction. Sending a deposit without some credible agency associated with the property would be foolish as far as I%26#39;m concerned. VRBO is the only exception I can think of.

You could check out Vacation in Paris. Here%26#39;s a list of their specials. If you email them , they%26#39;re pretty quick about getting back to you with a list of properties that fit your budget and dates.

I second CaperGal%26#39;s suggestion. I%26#39;ve used vacationinparis.com several times and recommend them highly. Look at their specials. They can be really good. They are cancellation apts usually available for the near future. Good luck. PS. Not a big craigslist fan

We stayed in a paris pied a terre apartment. They are on VRBO and reliable. They will get back to you quickly and let you know of availability. We had no problems whatsoever. parispiedaterre.com
