Adaptor for use in France, England and elsewhere

Greetings to everyone:

I am from Vancouver in Canada and will be travelling in UK, France Germany and Denmark this summer.

Excuse me if this question is stupid -

Just wonder whether there is a universal adaptor that can be used in all these European countries that fits my battery charger which goes with the standard North American socket?

My charger can accomodate voltage in the range 100V - 240V. But the prongs would not fit.

Would hotel reception has an adaptor that I can borrow?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Edward

Edward - The plugs are usually different sizes depending on what country you visit. So I don%26#39;t believe one adaptor will suit all your needs. In addition you should have a converter of some sort to convert the voltage to a north america level.

You can buy adaptor kits anywhere these days, even walmart. They would normally come with all the different bits for several European countries, including the ones you%26#39;ve mentioned.

No, they are all different from UK to Continent -- but any travel store should have a set that%26#39;s not very expensive.

Yes, there are %26quot;universal adaptors%26quot; - but these are often bulky and fairly expensive. It might be simpler just to buy separate adapters for the UK, Denmark and one for Germany/France; they can be as cheap as $1 a piece, if you know where to look (for example www.110220volts.com).

You can find an example of one of those %26quot;world travel adapters%26quot; that can be used in over 150 countries on www.swisstravelproducts.com

Another one: roamingfox.co.uk/Universal-Travel-Adapter-II…

They%26#39;re fairly complicated (with buttons operating the several pins for UK, France, etc.) so they%26#39;re not very compact or cheap, but maybe they fit your needs.

Thanks to everyone for your time and wonderful advices - I%26#39;ll look at each option.

Have a wonderful day.
