Puligny-Montrachet vs. Chorey-Les-Beaune B&B's near Beaune

My husband and I are visiting Burgundy [ for only 2 nights :-( ] at the end of May and are having trouble deciding where to stay. We would like to be near Beaune, but not within the town. We prefer places that are off the beaten path and very quiet. But we want to be at a place that is a good base for exploring the area by car. Our main activities will be eating and visiting wineries.

We found B%26amp;B%26#39;s in both Puligny-Montrachet and Chorey-Les-Beaune; does anyone have any input as far as which town is a better base for exploring wineries? Again, we want to be close to Beaune but not within the walls.

Thanks in advance!

Puligny-Montrachet is a nice, tiny little place...almost boring because it is absolutely nothing but wineries. Lots of free parking. It%26#39;s all of fifteen minutes pretty driving from Beaune. You%26#39;ll see vast vistas of vineyards (the cream of the crop!) from almost any window in the town. I just went to Olivier Leflaive%26#39;s for a nice lunch tasting last week. They seem quite willing to let you stroll through their vineyards...do it by request though... Apparently, Leflaive%26#39;s has some charm rooms that are quite nice too.

I don%26#39;t know anything about Chorey-Les-Beaune.
