Antiquing in Provence

Does anyone know about any %26quot;antique fairs%26quot; in Provence. I will be going to Il sur la Sorgue for the sunday market. I will be in Provence from May 28 to June 5th. I would appreciate any good antiquing secret hideaway or any good shops to check out. Also has anyone shipped anything back and can suggest a good shipper? I will be in Apt, Il sur Sorgue and possibly Aix. I will travel for a good antique market!

Merci

We have a home over there and I use this link to find out where the antique fairs are. My advice is too arrive early.

I am jealous....our stay and shopping experience in Provence was great. Isle sur la Sorgue was our favorite..not just the antiques but the outdoor market itself w/ great food and linens etc. We purchased several items from a couple of local home decor shops and due to our french being minimal and the storekeepers speaking no English we didn%26#39;t get the VAT tax back.

Sorry I can%26#39;t give you exact small town names but just driving thru places we found little antique markets.

Also, found St. Remy to have nice home shops...wanted to to buy 2 wooden candelabras there but, the store didn%26#39;t have boxes big enough to ship them in...I still look at pics of them.

Do you ever antique shop along Rt 6A in Cape Cod??? that is another of our fav places to shop!!

Perhaps Pezenas is too far from your home base, but we were very impressed by the antique stores there. It%26#39;s a lovely town, too.

thanks everyone for your suggestions. The link that was mentioned was excellent, listing many antique shows (too many to get to all!)

I still would like to find out more about shippers that maybe available in Provence area.
