Hotels in Nice

We are hoping to stay in Nice on the 26 May - 28 May but seem to have left it a bit late and are struggling to find any accomodation. Does anyone have any ideas of how of how we could go about finding a room....lastminute.com expedia etc are not coming up with anything! Also started looking in Antibes but nothing there either. Would it be worth phoning nice tourist information office?

You are trying to book during Monaco Grand Prix week and finale of the Cannes Film Festival. Rooms are at a premium and if the booking agencies show nothing thats because that is what there is.

The train runs between Ventimiglia andNice to Cannes - you might well try hotels at Cap 3000/ St Laurent de Var - its not a particularly attractive area near the airport and may well have something still available.

I would e mail the hotels that you have looked at, and you may find they have a room. Try Hotel Gounod. I can recommend it. Its in a nice area.

Thanks all for the help. Could only find accomodation near the airport in Nice so extended my search to the surrounding area of Nice and I stil battled but yesterday managed to find a room at a hotel in Juan les Pins called Hotel Villa Nina - reviews seem ok (except one!) and hoping transport links from Juan les Pins to the surrounding areas are ok.
