Leave in 2 days...help

Help! I%26#39;ve been researching this and can%26#39;t figure it out. My flight arrives at 9:45 PM at CDG. I need to get to the Rue Cler area but my husband and I will each have luggage so I don%26#39;t want to do too many transfers and a taxi seems way to expensive. What is the best way to get to our hotel? I%26#39;ve read the sticky but it seems a lot of transportation shuts down around this time.

Do you know which metro station you%26#39;ll be using?

I really think you should take a taxi. You are going to ahve to take the RER into Paris and then transfer to whatever station(s) you need to get you to your stop. We took the metro and RER when we left PAris from RueCler last year. However, we took a taxi to Rue Cler to because we were unsure how we would feel after flying all night.

hi;

Metro lines run until at least midnight on all lines, some until 1am.

You should have plenty of time to get to your hotel on the rue Cler by RER and metro. From 10:28 pm there are still 6 trains that will allow you to connect by metro to get to your station near the rue Cler.

That station is Ecole Militaire on the #8 line.

To do that though, you need to take the RER B line to Gare du Nord, then transfer to the #4 line direction Porte Orleans, to Strasbourg-St Denis, transfer to the #8 line direction Balard and get off at Ecole Militaire. The rue Cler is right there...

You could also take the RER B line to St Michel, then catch a taxi from there...

For RER timetable information go to www.ratp.fr There is an english version. Look in the upper right of the page and click on %26quot;International Passengers

I%26#39;ve just returned from France. I flew into Paris on Sunday morning (last May 6th) and used a shared van service. It%26#39;s door to door and I paid $24.00. Another option is the Air France bus. They make several central Paris stops. You can then take a taxi depending on how close to your hotel the stop is. There are other options on this website: www.toandfromtheairport.com/paris.html#CDG. Bon chance!

If you are arriving at CDG at 9:45 PM and assuming your flight is on time, by the time you retrieve your luggage it will probably be close to 11:00 PM. I cant understand why you would want to start carrying your luggage up and down staircase or escalators at the various RER and Metro transfer points just to save some money. Take a taxi and economize elsewhere.

Taxi....hands down!

Taxi for sure.

I would take a taxi if I were coming in that late!

Eat lunch from a grocery store one day to save on the cost and spend it on a taxi .... much more relaxing and easy to get to your hotel!
