Does anyone know what time the arc de triomphe closes? Half of my sources say 6:30PM and the other half say 11:00PM

6.30 certainly isn%26#39;t right. Officially, the Arc de Triomphe is open from 10:00 in the morning till 23:00 in the evening, at least from April 1st until September 30th. From October 1st until March 31, it closes half an hour earlier.
Access is closed 30 minutes before closing time (which means you won%26#39;t get in after 22:30 or 22:00).

Last summer when they have special ceremonies they do not follow their schedule. They did not open til 12:30 pm....not the usual hours that is on the website. So just beware. It is usally during the day time.

Climbing to the top of a tall-ish building is, well, climbing to the top of a tall building. I believe the Arc de Triomphe is best appreciated - lit, at night, at the end of a stroll down the Champs Elysèes

It%26#39;s mentioned on their website - they are closed on Januari 1, May 1, December 25, and on the mornings of May 8, July 14 and Nov. 11.
And on the French version of the site, they mention %26quot;Horaires sous réserve%26quot; - which means that they can close due to unforeseen circumstances.
The climb itself may not be that interesting, but the view is very nice (and it doesn%26#39;t involve hours of queing)

They closed late in June on a morning until 12:30pm without notice because they had a am ceremony laying flowers and all with officals from another country ( as %26quot;Jan%26quot; mentioned: %26quot;Horaires sous réserve%26quot; ).
It was not one of those days mentioned on the web site.

We%26#39;ll get into Paris around 5:00 and thought we%26#39;d take care of our kids%26#39; %26quot;must see%26quot; things first after getting settled in the apartment. First, is the Eiffel Tower, then a Seine cruise and depending on the time maybe the Arc de Triomphe.

Get there well before then, otherwise you might see the workers gleefully shutting their windows many minutes early--as they often do. 23h00 is when they get everybody off the thing.
