The best way to travel from Paris to Fontainbleau

We are arriving into Paris by air from Scotland in the middle of June and need to get to Fontainbleau. Is train the best option %26amp; is it possible to catfch a train from the airport or do we need to travel into the city proper.

According to the official website -- it looks like the best way to get there is through the city centre.

Roissy Charles de Gaulle

- Take RER B toward

%26quot;Saint Rémy-Les Chevreuses / Massy%26quot;

- Disembark at Châtelet les Halles

- Take RER A toward Marne La Vallée

- Disembark at gare Paris Gare de Lyon.

- Les aérogares T1 et T9 sont reliées à la gare aéroport

Charles De Gaulle par des navettes bus.

- L’aérogare T2 donne accès directement au RER.

Do you fly into Orly or CDG ?

Yes , Mickey gave a right answer : RER B to Chatelet-Les Halles, RER A to Gare de lyon and from Gare de Lyon , you have trains for Fontainebleau , the total trip will take a bit more than 1h30 , but the frequency for the train is not high ..

you can use that site to check the timetable

transilien.com/web/…en

enjoy your stay :)
