Final decision.......Hotel D'Aubusson

Yeah, I have decided on the Hotel D%26#39;Aubusson. I wanted a romanric, 4 star hotel located in a fun area, I hope I have made a good choice!!!!!!

We stayed at the Hôtel d%26#39;Aubusson once several years ago (the first year it was openned) and thought it a great little hotel...in GREAT LOCATION within Paris and neighborhood of the upper-6eme-Saint Germain des Prés. You will be within easy strolling / walking distances of a great many sights and attractions (if you%26#39;ve a major league arm, you can step out onto the rue Dauphine and toss a €uro across the Seine from there). There are more than enough good restaurants, bistros %26amp; cafés to satisfy almost any taste, appetitte or budget and more than enough interesting shopping opportunities to max-out all but AMEX %26#39;Black%26#39;....all within that same €uro toss. There are excellent public transportation connections (several Metro, RER and bus connections) back to this great area after you%26#39;ve walked as far as your legs will carry you. But if this neighborhood has a %26#39;..flaw..%26#39; it is that there%26#39;s so much right there, that you might be reluctant to wander farther afielf to the many other great neighborhoods of Paris.

I%26#39;m not sure if they still do it but as an homage to a great old Parisian jazz club that used yo occupy the basement of the original building (during the %26#39;95-%26#39;06 renovation they tore just about everytrhing out of the old building from the foundations to the roof rafters)...they had live jazz in the bar and lounge on Friday and Saturdany evenings.
