I know it%26#39;s not usual in Paris for hotels to offer free wi-fi in the rooms, or even free internet in the lobby, but was wondering if anyone knew of any?

Starbucks is everywhere even here.... Colette also offers wi-fi downstairs in the restaurant; you can have lunch or just coffee (if so, avoid the lunch rush). 213 rue St Honore, Metro Tuileries. France is not that low-tech my friend ;)

There are lots of hotels with (free or paid) WiFi access - just find a few hotels in your price class and area of choice, and at least one of them will have probably have WiFi. It is usually mentioned on the hotels website.
And I don%26#39;t like their food, but all McDonalds in Paris have free WiFi access for their clients. And this site is in French, but might still be interesting: www.cafes-wifi.com
