Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me. In August we are travelling to Dordogne.
We will arrive in Calais via Eurotunnel approx 7pm and plan to drive for a couple of hours, then stay overnight and continue the journey the following day.
I%26#39;m getting really confused about the route and am still trying to plan that as I type(!)
I just wondered whether anyone can recommend a reasonably priced clean hotel where we can get food (i guess a service area would be ok) that is roughly 2-3 hours drive from the tunnel, and where we could also stay on the way back.
Thanks very much for any info you may be able to give me.

www.viamichelin.com will help you plan your route, giving you driving directions, costs %26amp; journey times.
http://www.logis-de-france.fr/uk/index.htm is a good site for hotels, we%26#39;ve used them several times %26amp; found them OK. www.accorhotels.com is another good site with several hotel chains to choose from, including Ibis %26amp; Mercure.

If you%26#39;re arriving at Calais at 7pm and then travelling 2-3 hours into France it%26#39;s pretty unlikely you%26#39;ll get a meal in your hotel, most wouldn%26#39;t serve after 9pm 10 at an absolute push.
Having said that en route to the Dordogne and 2-3 hours travelling will then put you around Paris so you might find a hotel that serves later, but the area will obviously cost more.
Would agree Logis de France is by far the best way to choose a hotel

thank you senoraylan and bengodog!
i%26#39;ll take a look at those websites. It%26#39;s more breakfast I was thinking of than dinner - we%26#39;ll leave home around 3.30pm to get down to the tunnel so we%26#39;ll eat before we go and then snack along the way!
thank you again.
