Wine Tours

Hello, I have been to Napa Valley where you can go from winery to winery and do tastings by yourself; however it seems that doing that in Beaune (Wineries) may not be possible. Do you need reservations in advance with the wineries? Which wineries need reservations and which ones don%26#39;t. Thanks!

Beaune has a few large cave cooperatives that don%26#39;t need reservations. Marche aux Vins is one good one.

I just went to a fun dejeuner degustation (wine pairing lunch) at Olivier Leflaive%26#39;s in Puligny Montrachet last week. You can make reservations for that by email/website. At 39 euros per person, the wine kept flowing (15 wines to try, 2 liquors to try) for close to four hours. I must have drank a collective sum of well over a single bottle, and dumped out an equal amount. 1er crus and grande crus (90+ euro bottles) were among them.
