Beer in Southern France??

We will be making a trip to Biot this summer and we%26#39;ve read that beer is not popular in Southern France. Just wondering if anyone can clarify: Is beer typically available in restaurants? Are there pubs/bars in or around Biot that would server beer? Any recommendations for a good local beer or place to go enjoy a beer? Thanks for any help!!

Who told you this nonsense? You can get beer in every bar and cafe in France, as for Biot I have only been to the beach but there are vendors there who sell beer

Is this a joke??

I lived there about 10 years ago.. and there was plenty of beer then!!

Beer is by far a more popular drink in the North %26amp; East of France as wine is in the South, purely because historically these are the production areas.

But as the previous postings you%26#39;ll have no problems getting beer in the South.

Regarding a local beer unless somebody says otherwise I would doubt very much you finding a local brew in this part of France.

The French would be on strike within seconds if a demi-litre of Kronenborg 1664 wasn%26#39;t available in every village!

In Biot, lager is as available as a bottle of red wine, so fear not!
