paris

We are leaving Brussels on June 4th to go to Paris for 6 days and was hoping for some suggestions on where to stay. Also I have been advised to book in advance the train from Brussels to Paris ahead of time. How much ahead of time? Also was wondering if we should stay the whole 6 days in Paris or venture further? Any suggestions would be most appreciated - this is my first European trip so this is all very new to me. thanks

Hey New --

Rush out immediately and buy a couple of good guidebooks. You need to do the research so that you can decide which sites most interest you, otherwise you%26#39;ll be doing yourself a great disservice in one of the most interesting cities in the world.

Six days is a very good start for Paris. It%26#39;s enough time to discover why so many of us keep going back. You%26#39;ll have an opportunity to see the major sights and get at least a small taste of the culture of the city and the country. Do yourself a favour and try not to overbook your time. One of the great joys of Paris is to sit and watch the world go by, while sipping away at a glass of wine or a coffee.

If you want advice on hotels, it%26#39;s important that you list your budget and other requirements.

Bon voyage.

if you look around this site you%26#39;ll get many ideas on where to stay; maybe try an apartment for a different experience. You will see the areas discussed by arrondissment - try the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th.

Stay in Paris six days and take it easy, don%26#39;t rush.

Book your train now.
