I am traveling to Europe in September and plan to take the overnight train from Paris to Florence. Does anyone have any experiences doing this? Also, we fly into CDG. Do we have to transfer to a train station within Paris to board the Artesia train or does it board from CDG. Thanks

I have done this several times, you will need to transfer to Gare de Bercy, take the RER if you have time, otherwise take a cab
There are several sleeping options on the train, I usually take a couchette, this is similar to a fold out bunk bed, you will be sharing with strangers. More expensive is a cabin for 1,2 or 3 people.
There is a decent restaurant on board.
One note, this does not go into the main station in Firenze and you will need to take a local train to the centre (about 5 minutes). Or take a taxi.
