Flying in to Nice on Tuesday, can anyone recommend a good Italian to eat in for the tuesday evening?
Or any other favourite place that you may know?
We are staying at the hotel Suisse.

i like the Baraccuda on the Rue Meyerbeer a side road off the Promenade about 15 minute stroll from your Hotel, Haven%26#39;t visited since June 06 so i take it its still Italian, the puddings were excellent too.

La Voglia at the end of the Cours Saleya, address is 2, rue St Francoise de Paule. Seems to get consistently good reviews, a cut above the average Italian restaurant. I think there%26#39;s no reservations, you have to get there early or queue. It%26#39;s also close to La Swisse, less than 5 minutes walk.

Why not try the local Niçoise cuisine? It is similar to Italian cuisine with fresh pasta, gnocchi and pesto featuring on many menus. La Tapenade, 6 rue Sainte-Réparate and La Table Alziari, 4 rue François-Zanin are a couple of my favourite places to dine in Nice.
Bon Apetit!

Just to report back : we went to La Voglia, sat outside, and had some olives, bread, oil to start, wine and water, then we shared a wood fired pizza Margharita and a special Rigatoni pasta in the oven with sausage, aubergine and Mozzarella. All Very good, though of course not as good as in Italy! €45
Also tried La Tapenade, sat inside - nice cosy decor,we were the only english - all french diners. We had a roasted pepper dish to start and a Mozzarella tomato salad, then a steak each served with the most lovely (oily!) fries and some ratatouille.Wine,water,coffees.€78
Is it me,or does anyone else think that the portions served in Nice are HUGE??!! we were truly stuffed!
Also, seen mentioned on here another italian restaurant called Amalfi - not sure if that is any good?? maybe one for next time....we loved Nice and can%26#39;t wait to go back!
Thanks for everyone%26#39;s help.

Navarra, phew, glad you liked La Voglia. I love La Tapenade and they do enormous portions, that%26#39;s true, that%26#39;s one of the reasons I like it, lol. I think La Voglia are famous for their generous portions too so I just think you hit the jackpot that visit. Glad you liked Nice and want to go back.
