I will be flying from London Stansted to Toulon-Hyères Airport on June 30th and will be arriving at 9:20 in the evening. I%26#39;ve been doing some research on public transportation from the airport to Toulon (which is where I want to go), but it seems that the buses stop at 7 pm. However, I%26#39;ve read several places that the buses are according to flight arrivals. During the month of June on the weekends (and June 30th is a Sunday) there are buses from the airport to Toulon twice a day, but I don%26#39;t know if there will be transportation when I arrive.
Do you know if there will definitely be bus transportation from the airport to Toulon at 9:20 in the evening?
I don%26#39;t want to pay for a taxi to Toulon.. I%26#39;d rather stay at the nearest hotel.
What is the nearest hotel to the Toulon airport?
Is there transportation from cities nearby the airport to Toulon?
Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!!

It looks like the last bus goes at 20:45 but the timetable will only let me look as far as 17th June.
The journey by taxi only takes 20 minutes and the Ryanair web-site reckons about 40 euros so I would imagine it would be cheaper than saying the night in a hotel which you would also need to take a taxi to.
Hyeres is the nearest town to the airport and to get there it looks like the same bus route.
BTW 30th June is a Saturday night not a Sunday.

Is it likely that they will run a bus according when to my flight lands?
I don%26#39;t mind staying in a hotel near the airport because 40 euros for a cab ride is quite a bit. I%26#39;d rather pay 10 euros for a taxi to the nearest hotel (which I think is in Hyeres?) and then take the bus to Toulon the next day (is this possible, or would I have to ride back to the airport to catch the bus shuttle to Toulon?)... So in this case, what%26#39;s the closest/cheapest, but still safe hotel to the airport??

I was not sure how good your French is so the link goes straight to the timetable for the line that you need.
I looked at the price of one of the low cost budget hotel chains - Etap and they want 35 euros a night plus according to the Ryanair site the taxi is 15 euros to Hyeres so it still looks like it is more expensive than just taking a taxi all the way to Toulon.

I only drive to and from the airport so I do not know the name of a cheap hotel close-by I%26#39;m afarid.

Thanks for the hotel and taxi info. That actually would be cheaper because I have to pay for a hotel in Toulon anyway. So if i take a taxi for 15 euros to Hyeres and then stay in a hotel for 35 euros, and then the next morning, take the bus to Toulon, which ryanair says is 1.40 euros... it would be less expensive than paying 40 euros for a cab ride plus the cost of the hotel for the night.
I%26#39;m fine with staying in Hyeres one night and Toulon the next, but I%26#39;m also wondering if I would have to take a cab back to the airport from Hyeres to catch the bus to Toulon? Or can I catch the bus in Hyeres?
Thanks again for the info. I will try the timetable again. Hopefully it will work and they will update to the beginning of July so I know whether or not there will be a bus.
Oh, so the closest hotels to the airport would definitely be in Hyeres? Will check out Etap for sure.

Sorry my fault I had yesterday%26#39;s date in and so it had gone past that date and said nothing was available. So I have put a date in June this time so fingers crossed, here goes http://tinyurl.com/2ebnse
You can catch the bus from Hyeres the next day. The bus, ligne 102, goes through Hyeres.
Let me know if that works and I see where you are coming from now with having to pay for a hotel anyway - it all makes sense.
The Etap hotels are OK just for one night like you are staying - in late out next morning. They just lack any charm but they have en-suite shower rooms. They are part of Accor hotels.

Thanks for the link again. I checked it and the timetable showed up, but I believe you chose the wrong direction.. wouldn%26#39;t the direction be Gare Routiere (Toulon), not Aéroport Toulon Hyères like you chose? (since I am going from the to airport to Toulon). Thanks, I just want to be sure.
And yes, I see the 102 line does go through Hyeres, thanks again for the help.
I checked out the Etap hotels.. not so bad. I might go with them, but will probably do some research for other cheap stays in Hyeres.
The timetable is updated through June 20th so hopefully within the next week or so, it will updated to June 30th and I can figure out whether or not it would be cheapest to stay in Hyeres for the night.

To get the other direction; just above the timetable in blue click on %26quot;autre direction%26quot; and it will change to Hyeres Airport start.
