Seine Cruise?

Friends have highly recommended a Seine river cruise, does anyone have a recommendation of what company to go with as there are several?

We did Vedettes du Pont Neuf, whuch we LOVED. Discount vouchers are available on the internet, as well as times that the cruises depart. The illuminations one was particularly special.

Ditto the Vedettes du Pont Neuf. We took a cruise in the afternoon, then later in the week at night. I think you%26#39;ll find this ranks as the preferred cruise company of TA members.

If you mean cruising along the length of the Seine, staying on board, then I would reccommend this French river cruise company :

I have not sailed with them, but we saw their boats last year when staying at Honfleur. The boats look fabulous, and are pretty shiny and new. There were many americans on board, and the ones we spoke to seemed very impressed with the boats, and the hospitality.

Bonjour matelot!

I, too, am looking for a recommendation for a night cruise on the Seine. Should I book the cruise with the company before I go to Paris? Or should I wait and do it in Paris?

|||

Print out the discount vouchers before you go from www.vedettesdupontneuf.com and just go to the base (as described on the website) when you want to go on the cruise. The boats leave fairly frequently and no advance reservation is necessary.

Have fun. This is a very nice activity both during the day and at night in Paris.

Another question on the same topic:

Can anyone recommend a DINNER cruise on the Seine??

I think the suggested company looks good, but am interested in a longer cruise than one hour, maybe with food. Can be one way, as long as the Metro will get me back.

Thanks.

I researched this issue on TA a few months ago and I recall the general consensus being that the cruise is nice, but the food just okay - better to have dinner elsewhere and do the cruise separately. That%26#39;s what I plan to do just based on what I %26quot;heard%26quot; on the TA forums.

Do the Pont Neuf boats have outdoor seating on an upper deck? We would like to be able to easily take pictures and video.

Thanks,

Linda

which cruise has dinner and dancing and can you have your own table

We had originally thought of a dinner cruise, but opted out since the dinners don%26#39;t get the best reviews.

So what we did was have a wonderful dining experience at %26quot;L%26#39;Escargot-Montorgueil%26quot; and then walked to Pont Nuef from there! (just a few blocks) and took the evening one hour cruise.

I%26#39;m pretty sure it was the %26quot;Vedettes%26quot; boats. We went up top and it was open and the views were fantastic! Paris all lit up! Ahhhhh...
