Caravanning in Annecy

Has anyone stayed on themunicipal camping site Les Champs Fleuris near Annecy? We quite like a quietish, non organised activities site. Wondered if this one was like that?

While we are there we hope to walk. Anyone got any walks they could recommend. We don%26#39;t mind walks from about 4-10 miles.

We are also taking our bikes %26amp; I know there is a cycle track by the side of the lake but anyone know of any other good (but not too difficult) rides please?

Stayed in Annecy last Summer. There are loads of cycle routes, you just have to look for the signs, I daresay the campsite has some maps.

I have not stayed in the municpal site, we stayed in a municipal site in Reims and have got to say it was a bit grotty and basic, but the one in Annecy may be better. We have chidlren, so the site we stayed in was quite child orientated and organised, but if you want to have a look it is http://www.campinglesfontaines.com/ its not a massive site so not noisy.

Only one site to go to...Camping De La Ravoire...74210 Dousard. Telephone 04.50.44.3780. Its at the other end of the lake from Annecy but right by the side of the cycle track that runs down the side of the lake from Annecy to Alberville appx 50 km.

The site is small and immaculate, family run, swimming pool, small take away and shop.

Many returns year after year

You can walk down to the Lake in 5 to 10 minutes or drive into Annecy along the Lake in about 15 minutes.

Couldnt recommend it more highly.

Les Champs Fleuris is nice and quiet. But you may prefer to have a direct access to the beach ?

This one is very nice, located in the most beautiful part of the lake in my opinion, close to the cycle track:

This other campsite attracts a lot of british and dutch people but I think it will be too %26quot;organised%26quot; and probably too noisy for you (there are fireworks every weekend and things like that) :

There are a lot of outdoor activities around Annecy, mountain walks and also via ferrata: you%26#39;ll have to buy a guide book to have some itineraries or follow a guide for more %26quot;serious%26quot; mountaining:
