Hello all and thanks for reading. I wanted to find out if anyone has spent time in Cassis in early September and whether is it super crowded or pretty mellow. My husband and I would like to spend 2 nights (Sept. 3-4) there at the end of our 5 days in Provence. We are staying 3 nights in Arles and want to see the coast without having to go all the way to Nice or Cannes.
Alternatively, could someone recommend a similar location that isn%26#39;t too far from the Marseilles airport? We have a morning flight to London on Sept. 4.
Thank you!

As you can see this is not a really active forum as not too many Americans have found Cassis....We did and it is just great..not too big and not too small and a typical provencal port ...as for early Sept. I think it should be perfect...the crowds depart usually Sept. 1 ...while some may linger it will be nice,,,,,still warm and perfect. I would encourage you to pick this spot...we are returning again in June for 5 nights. Enjoy.
