I%26#39;m just wondering if this area is a good area to stay in. THe hotel we are looking (Hotel le Villiers) doesn%26#39;t have any reviews yet on TA so I%26#39;d like to know if at least the area is nice. It looks like it%26#39;s fine transportation-wise but is it nice to walk around and are there a lot of cafes/bistros and is it generally safe?

I think that hotel is really closer to Pereire metro stop than it is to Villiers, in spite of the hotel%26#39;s name... but the 17th is generally a nice area just not much in the way of %26#39;tourist%26#39; sites (not that there%26#39;s anything wrong with that).
If you enter your hotel address into
www.pagesjaunes.fr
you can:
- get a map
- see the street and buildings around there
- use the %26quot;proximite%26quot; feature to find nearby cafes, boulangeries, etc
