Advice on budget hotel in Nice

Hi, I%26#39;m planning on travelling to Nice for a few nights towards the end of June and was wondering where may be a good place to stay. We need a twin room. We%26#39;re currently considering the Hotel Comte de Nice and the Hotel Pastoral. We only have a small budget of £20 or €27-€28 per night as the absolute tops so are aware that we can%26#39;t get amazing standards of everything.

I have read many good reports on the Comte de Nice but there were a couple which were negative (Cockroaches on one..I have a phobia..) :| and the Internet is lacking on reports about the Hotel Pastoral.

If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated! :)

Thanks.

Tom - 30 euros a night is not a %26quot;budget%26quot;, it is loose change. At that price you are so compromised its not worth anyones while except as a hostel for backpackers.

Try Les Camelias in Nice if you qualify - its a youth hostel but with fine location. Failing that, consider trading up to 50 euros a night and you%26#39;ll have a lot more choice, at two stars. Or at least a better class of cockcroach!

La Residence Hotel ave Durante - near the train station.

18, Avenue Durante, 06000 Nice, France - +33 4 93 88 89 45

Monsieur Denis will thake good care of you.

Cleanest, least expensive hotel that I know of.
