Any reviews of the Royal Garden Hotel?

We have just booked the second half of our honeymoon at the Royal Garden Hotel on Rue Du Faubourg. Has anyoine stayed here before? We hope to get a little insight into the area, and maybe a review of the hotel, and some Paris tips. We have never been to Paris before, and will be there in early October 2007.

Did you read the reveiws on this site. There are many. I t is listed number 886 out of about 1500 Parisian hotels listed here.

Use search box on left hand side of page, full name is Golden Tulip Royal Garden , at least that is what I think. Address was on rue du Faubourg, so I assume is was same place.

I would also click on the %26quot;Paris Hotels%26quot; box on left hand side of page, you can then scroll down the list of hotel reviews.

You know, for a honeymoon in a room with a great view , check out Hotel Brighton on Rue du Rivoli , ask for%26quot; Tuilleries view room.

I didn%26#39;t read all the reviews on the hotel you picked, it looked like some loved it and some did not!

Thanks for the info! We just cancelled our reso at the Royal Graden, and opted for a suite at the Brighton! The price was $150.00 more US than the other hotel, but we upgraded to a suite. I am so glad yo reccomended that hotel, the views are STUNNING. My fiancee is over the moon at the idea of sleeping in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower. Thanks again...very helpful!! The website was much more sparse than the other hotel%26#39;s, but the reviews more than made up for a lack of info on the hotel web site.

Wow, great, I loved the hotel myself, it is in an area with hotels that can easily cost over 500 euros a night, yet in comparsion it is very reasonable.

The views alone are worth it, and I liked the quirkyness of the hallways being so narrow and slanted in some places. It is also very convienent to many places, and the staff were very helpful, especially Bernard( its been two years , and I still remember him) they are not drooling all over you ,, there is the %26quot; French dignity%26quot; thing, but , I found them all so helpful, I could ask anything and they would help( like where is the train station for Versailles etc)

The views really are wonderful, the first time you see the Eiffel Tower twinkle( they twinkle on the hour for about 5 minutes, and no photo you take will do it justice!) you will know the extra money was worth it,, and to look down at the Tuilleries Gardens and the Lourve and imagine Napoleon or Joesphine taking their carriages through the park , well it is wonderful.
