Anyone have information re: Neuilly?

I am going to Paris later this month and planning on staying at a hotel in Neuilly Sur Seine. The hotel is much more affordable in this neighborhood. It%26#39;ll be my first trip to France. Can anyone tell me how far away I%26#39;ll be from city center? How convenient is it to take bus/train? How far away from Orly airport?

thanks in advance.

I wouldn%26#39;t go to Neuilly for political reasons, but it%26#39;s a very posh, upper-class suburb, with a good Métro link to the center (you%26#39;ll be 1 mile west of the Champs-Elysées).

Superhetero - you are revealing your inner self.... :-)

I%26#39;ve had to visit an Embassy in Neuilly several times. It is in fact a very rich district and you can get from point A to point B via several metro stops; quick and easy.

So if you won%26#39;t visit Neuilly because Sarko was mayor, does that mean I have to stop visiting France now? :-)

Well, at least there%26#39;s more to France than Sarkozy. I%26#39;m not sure that can be said about Neuilly !

To reassure emilyfromny, all of this political stuff isn%26#39;t to be taken too seriously, of course ...at least on a tourist forum !
