I read the reviews about Hotel le Maxime and I understand that near the hotel it is a very good restaurant (with the same name “Le Maxim”). I want to know which is the distance between the hotel and the restaurant and if it is a good place or not? In our trip to France (and to Auxerre) we will have a little girl with us. So, it’s important to find a hotel with a restaurant nearby or a hotel with restaurant. Can you recommend also another hotel?

They are the same building and the restaurant is superb
We have also stayed at this hotel -No restaurant
Le Parc des Marechaux
Lovely v.french house with friendly service and distinctive rooms.
Slightly more basic but friendly and good value is
Minotel Normandie
41, boulevard Vauban
No restaurant but there are some v good ones within walking distance - esp. Salamander %26amp; Jardin Gourmand:
Just a short drive toward Chablis in lovely contryside at Nitry is a fabulous Hotel/restaurant.:
Auberge de la Beursaudiere
Cannot recommend this one too highly - slightly quirky layout in old Burgundian buildings, v friendly staff %26amp; great restaurant with costumed waiting staff.
