Colmar hotel

Can you recommend a hotel in Colmar, France for 2 nights? Preferably something convenient to the train station and with air-conditioning as it will be in August. Something in the 3-4 star range.

The Hotel Bristol is right across the street from the train station. It is modernized and air-conditioned on the inside, but traditional looking on the outside. I have stayed there following a long train ride from Frankfurt and found it to be extremely comfortable.

It is a bit of a walk to the historic part of Colmar, but I found a different way to go into the old city each time, and considered that part of my visit to Colmar. It is also convenient to buses at the station which can take you to some charming villages in the Alsace. I took the bus to Kaysersberg and it made a very nice day trip. The Bristol is affiliated with the Best Western group of hotels, so you can go online to their site to see current rates and availability.
