Early Morning Taxis

I%26#39;ve been searching the forums and web for this answer but after an exhaustive search I have not found an answer. I was hoping someone could help.

I am scheduled for a 9am flight out of Beauvais Airport and am planning to take the shuttle from Port Maillot to Beauvais at 5:45 am. The only issue is that the RER starts at 5:30 which leaves little time for any mistakes. So I think a taxi to Port Maillot would be the safest option. Would it be difficult to find taxis at 5am in St. Germain (I%26#39;m staying on Rue Brea)?

Thank you in advance.

No problem. The driver will start the meter when heading in your direction.

In your case, taking a taxi from your hotel to the BVA Shuttle pick-up point near PORTE MAILLOT will prbably be the most prudent choice. There is no direct Metro connection from your immediate neighborhood to Porte Maillot As for the general availability of taxis at that early hour of the morning, I certainly wouldn%26#39;t count on it. There will be a fair number of taxis parked at neighborhood taxi stands...but most will be vacant. With this in mind, your most prudent choice will be to telephone ahead the evening before departure to reserve a taxi pick-up at your location. The largest taxi operators in Paris (all providing 24/7 radio dispatch) will be--

TAXIS BLEUS---Tel: 01.49.36.10.10

TAXIS G7--Tel: 01.47.39.47.39

ALPHA TAXIS---Tel: 01.45.85.85.85

OR... check with the front desk of your hotel...or apartment rental agency...for taxis or taxi companies that they%26#39;ve used in the past and know to be reliable.

Bear in mind that with a pre-arranged taxi pick-up, there may well already be a fare registered on the meter (beyond the official, initial 2 € meter %26#39;drop%26#39;) from the point where the taxi took the call.

Thanks for the great info. Seems like I%26#39;ll be calling a taxi the night before.
