Paris CDG Airport - Terminal 2F Security Checks

We were travelling yesterday on Air France. We flew from Nice to CDG Terminal 2F. We had a connecting flight on Air France from CDG to Toronto also from CDG Terminal 2F. (Our bags were automatically transferred to the connecting flight.) But for passengers with transfers, we followed the %26quot;transfer%26quot; signs, and found we had to leave the secured area, and go through police/immigration and all the security checks to get to our next flight. We had 1 hour and 40 minutes between flights (from the same terminal at CDG), and we spent all that time in lines at Security checks. We eventually were given an opportunity to move towards the front of the Security check line when we said we would miss our connecting flight.

At other airports around the world, there is a provision for people with connecting flights from within the same airport terminal to be able to move to their departing flight waiting area without having to go through Security checks again.

Given Air France is the main user of this terminal, and given their feeder-hub way of doing business, it would seem that they should have this much more streamlined for customers.

We thought we would post this to warn other passengers, and we were wondering what other passengers have found in this regard, and if anyone knows why Air France would do this at CDG.

In all fairness, I don%26#39;t think this has anything to do with Air France specifically. It is true for the entire CDG airport.....not just for Air France flights. It is an airport issue, NOT an Air France issue.
