boat trip

Hi all,

can you please tell me which is the best place to park the car for doing the boat trip in strasbourg? We are staying in hotel etap in ostwald and in the morning we plan to do boat trip and see the notre dam cathedral before we leave for wine road trip. can some one also tell me when is the first boat trip?

The closest car park is parking Gutemberg, place Gutemberg . Very close to the Cathedral too .

And from where the boat trip starts?

When you are just in front of the Cathedral, you just turn right and go down the paved pedestrian street towards the river . This street end up as a little square . Here you turn left towards the palais de Rohan and then you will see the boats . The boat trip is really nice indeed .

do you suggest that i take a tram/bus from my hotel etap (ostwald) to city centre to avoid parking problems?

You will have no parking problem if you come rather early in the morning, except maybe if you plan to come on a Saturday morning .

so i park the car near the cathedral, and then after seeeing cathedral I walk towards palais rohan for boat tride. I will be with two kids. I hope that the walk is not too long (from cathedral to boating area).
