Safety in Paris for a 16 year old alone?

I%26#39;m interested in visiting Paris in August for 3-4 days, and would be going alone. Obviously, I%26#39;d stick to main, lit areas, and have no intention of going to any suburbs (no need to). Would it be ok? I%26#39;m slightly worried about it.

Also, it might be worth noting I dress %26quot;emo%26quot;, ie (tight jeans, side fringe) you know.

Any advice?

Are you a boy or a girl ?

How old do you LOOK ?

Before anyone puts time and effort into responding to this post, I suggest reading more about the OP.

Hey thanks for the post. I learned something about %26quot;emo%26quot; style of dress. Although an early Johnny Rotten fan I kinda moved on with the Red Hot Chili Peppers and am now too old and getting grey to mosh...

Paris is a safe city. Keep your wits about you. Don%26#39;t hang all night in sleazy places. Sleep in a hotel not a metro station. Enjoy the culture of the place and you should do just fine...

Sorry...

What%26#39;s OP

|||

If you do look at the OP%26#39;s previous posts, you might find it funny (like I did) that the age changes from December, 2006 where age is noted as 16 to January 2007 where age is noted as 15.

And, the OP never came back to the five previous posts where people actually took the time to answer his/her question.

The Internet......

Hi;

Thanks for the heads up... who%26#39;d a thunk that people would mis represent themselves on the internet?

|||

So, does anyone else wonder whether there may be some other reasons for asking whether young people are safe in these various cities?

That%26#39;s what I thought. What%26#39;s the kick they%26#39;re getting out of this?? Odd.
