Cucuron and the Luberon

Thankyou for everyone who responded to our last topic.

My partner is very keen on staying in a particular rental in Cucuron, as she thinks the village sounds quaint and unspoilt by lots of tourists. (we are staying for a week)

Unfortunately I have not found too many people who have visited or stayed there. Just hoping it is big enough to enjoy dinner, coffee, breakfast and drinks after returning from days of car trips around the Luberon.

My thoughts are still of staying in Louramin, i don%26#39;t know why though.

Any thoughts?

Sydney,

I am leaving on May 18th for a two week stay. We will be staying in Cucuron with two large parties at two villas. For many of us it is the first time, but there are several who have made several trips to this region and they are all very keen on Cucuron.

I%26#39;ll be sure and let you know how it worked out once we return.

PS: I would also love to hear any others%26#39; reviews of Cucuron.

Hi there,

We spent a month in Lourmarin two years ago, and are returning this summer. I really loved Cucuron. It is much less touristy than Lourmarin, but still has a few decent restaurants, pizzerias, bars and coffee shops. It has a lovely pond where the weekly market takes place, and this pond is surrounded by restaurants and cafes. We really wanted to stay in Cucuron this time around, but found a vacation rental that suited us in Lourmarin. I%26#39;m sure you will be happy with either village.
