St. Germain des Pres to Gare du Nord-metro or taxi?

Hello,

We will be heading to London via Eurostar after Paris. We are staying at an apt. in St. Germain des Pres, specifically Rue Guenegaud. As for getting to the Gare du Nord, would it be difficult by metro? We each have a 25 in. suit case and a leather carry-on duffel. If we took a taxi, any idea how much it would cost approx.?

Thanks!

On my last trip, I just walked to St. Germain de Pres station and took the metro to Gare du Nord. It%26#39;s an easy trip without a transfer if you can take #4 line. But if you%26#39;d rather not tote your bags around the stairs and such, the cab would cost you less than 10 euros. :)
